    Item description

  • The results vary from person to person. If you are experiencing itching from dry skin or irritation from moisture or friction, you will notice a difference within days. However, if you are itching because of an underlying a skin condition such as lichen sclerosis - you will experience significant reduction in severity of your itching, but it will likely not be completely itch-free.

For women with skin conditions, VNue Seal Protective Cream protects the skin thereby minimizing the effect of rubbing and toileting.

  • VNue Seal Protective Cream is a personal care product and is not a prescription.

  • Yes. In fact most patients routinely use VNue Seal Protective Cream to alleviate daily discomfort from friction and rubbing of the thin and sensitive skin. We don’t recommend applying Vnue Seal Protective Cream on top of another cream, but rather the cream is to be thought of as a barrier cream, protecting skin so that it can heal .

  • Well it depends. If you are using the cream for a specific purpose, such as preventing the perception of yeast infection or irritation after spending a lot of time in water or wet bathing suits.

Let’s use the wet bathing suit as an example - in this case, in addition to using it nightly, you may also need to apply more before you get in the water.

For patients with chronic dermatological conditions, such as eczema and lichenoid process, Vnue Seal Protective Cream is best used nightly as part of your grooming routine.

The cream is not intended to replace your prescription medication. However, by protecting the skin from ‘unsavory elements’ most patients report significant decrease in frequency, intensity and duration of symptoms.

Vnue Seal Protective Cream’s use in nether regions is much like sunblock’s use in facial regions: protection against unsavory elements- sweat and debris in the former and UV light in the latter.

To our dermatologist's horror, we all have days where we do not use sunblock, but on average most of us use sunblock when it really matters, say a sunny day at the beach.

However, there are also those among us who can not get away with any indiscretion when it comes to consistent use of sunblock. Unlike those of us with darker skin tone, a mere 10-15 min without protection against sun can lead to sunburn for those with paler skin.

A similar pattern is reported by patients using Vnue Seal Protective Cream in that some need it nightly, whereas for others it may be a month before they notice some return of some irritation after stopping the cream.

By creating a filmy layer, Vnue Seal Protective Cream effectively dampens the intensity of contact between the underlying sensitivity skin and the denizens of the nether region - urine, sweat, and excrement.

Of course, nothing can totally eliminate contact but on average it does the trick and over time individual patients figure out their anatomy so that they can apply the cream to the nooks and crannies that need it the most.

  • That depends. VNue Seal Protective Cream is an oil based product. While it can be used during intercourse, it is not recommended for use with latex condoms. Unlike water based lubricant, oil based products such as VNue Seal Protective Cream, weakens the integrity of latex condoms.

  • Most patients find nightly application to be sufficient. For those who have lichenoid process with itching, in the first couple of weeks, most patients report using it up to 2-3 times a day, in addition to nightly application. Once the symptoms subside, the frequency of use can be tailored to individual patient. With that said, many report applying it preventatively before going to the gym or pool or any activity with increased sweating and friction.

  • Place in the refrigerator for an hour.

  • It can be placed on the counter, or for a more cooling feeling it also can be stored in the refrigerator.

  • Yes. In fact, in the early stages of development I used the cream on my son who had ‘chub rub issues’ with swim wear in summer camp. Later on, I tested the different iterations of the formulation on my face and around eyelids.

  • Yes, with proper guidance of an adult.

  • Burning is the only symptom reported to date. It happens infrequently, in the order of 1-2 patients a year. In most instances, it is hard for patients to assess if it is actually the cream causing the burning.

In most instances, it is the underlying skin problem that is causing the burning sensation. To figure out whether the Vnue Seal Protective Cream is the culprit, I recommend applying Vaseline or Aquaphor to the area. If the burning is similarly experienced, this suggests underlying skin issues. Otherwise it is sensitivity is to the Vnue cream.

In such an event, patients should avoid using the cream if they experience burning. To date there is no other untoward complications or problems related to cream has been reported.
